Introduction

There are so much things I want to do, countless of problems I want to solve, plenty of places I wish to visit.  But at the end of the day, the truth is, we have limited resources and we ourselves are limited. Time being the irreplaceable and most precious gift we have, it is wise to plan on how to use it effectively. Don't worry, I am not here to bore you with deep and complicated philosophical argument about time and the meaning of life. On the contrary, I just a 27 year guy trying to plan or get some kind of idea on how I should spend my limited resources of life wisely. In this blog, I am going to take you within my train of thought. I promise you this is going to be a bumpy ride, this train needs a bit of conditioning and may even get lost as the rails themselves may change direction. Ready for the ride?? Here we go...ladies and gentlemen, please fasten your seat belt..

First and foremost, "who is this guy" you might ask. Well, my name is Kidus Elias. When you combine the two words, "Kid" and "Us", you will get my first name (although it is pronounced as "Key-Dus").  I sometimes like to fool myself into thinking my name tells a deeper story and that we have all a "Kid" version of ourselves within "Us". You know the younger version who is always happy, silly, makes a fool of him selves where ever he can, the one who does not mind when fails and who is usually cheery. The version of ourselves who has not lost the innocence of the heart and who is optimistic? Yes, that version. We all still have it within us, the stress and busy life we live may have buried it, but the kid still exist in us. Another and more straightforward meaning to my name is, what it actually means, it means"holly" or "saint" in seven ancient languages (Amharic, Tigregna, Geez, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Aramaic). Please don't get confused, even thought the seven languages argue otherwise, I am not holly in any sense of the world.

But my name does not reveal who I am. It is just what I am called and what I am referred as. Who I really am is, the sum of all my experience I had in my life. I am a reader, a beginner writer, a computer programmer, a beginner poet, a video producer, a friend, a family, and more. Giving a person a single label to describe "who" he is making life too simplistic. It creates a limited view and closes the door to wonder and contemplate who a person is. Each one of us have unique story, that is who we are. We are out stories and the thing we have been through. Enough with that abstract concept, In short, I am a human, who is trying to make a difference leave a positive mark. The more you read my blog and stay in this train, we both may learn more about who I really am.  I do love reading and writing, I enjoy asking questions and learning new things. I am a lifelong learner (who isn't? everyone is learning voluntary or not) - Any who....that is who I am :) Glad to me to you dear reader.
